This morning I received a notice from the Toronto Public Library that a book I had requested last summer is now ready to be picked up. For those of you who don't use the system, this was a signal that the repair of the damage caused by the cyber-attack in October was complete. It made me very grateful to the people who have been working so hard on this.
I've had a lot of good news lately - I'm eligible for the federal government's seniors' dental plan and I have been enrolled in a geriatric unit to treat my balance problems. I feel quite fortunate to be getting old in this environment.
And the TPW Annual Meeting was held today! I am so lucky to have found this group all those years ago. I am convinced that I am much healthier and happier than I would have been without them. We planned for the year ahead - training regimes, new walks to explore, trips to races in other cities, and all the familiar races as well. One of our founding members provided the welcoming venue and the food was great!!
