The weather was a misery this morning but, as always, the group dynamic brought sunshine to the grey. Many of us have remarked on the fact that, regardless of the issue, someone in the group knows something helpful, whether it involves plumbers or personal wellness.

To misquote Elizabeth Barrett Browning, it seems we demonstrate the following attitude: How can I help thee? Let me count the ways.

Here are just some recent examples:

  • I had a workplace dilemma that I wanted expert insight on and a fellow TPW responded to my call immediately
  • One of the group who had experienced a health issue, shared the experience with someone who was looking for advice for a family member
  •  Over breakfast, several in the group waded in on another's professional challenges, offering both encouragement and solid advice
  • Others were sharing information on various trips with recommendations on the good, the bad and the ugly
  • This one is very important, I lost my brand new hat and another Walker found it (thanks again!)

So, whether your issue is serious or silly, we are a powerful resource for each other and that  warms my heart on a gloomy day.

Next Sunday is Sporting Life (let's all send out vibes for good weather). Don't forget to fill in the Doodle poll to let others know if you are attending. The week after, most of us move to High Park where we will be until the fall.
