The Walk

Towards the end of April 2019 dogs were seen in doggy winter coats, snowflakes descended from the sky, and fifteen TPWs gathered for our weekly walk. Due to the coldness, our usual pre-walk stretch was abandoned.

It was an invigorating walk. Most of us grumbled about the weather, and we walked. Some complained about underdressing, and we walked. Some celebrated their decision to dress appropriately, and we walked.  We walked quickly (depending on our pace comfort ) and most of us (I include myself here) who were underdressed warmed up somewhere along the route.

The route, during this walk, had its own beauty. The colours of the landscape included a grey sky, a tree of pink blossoms, trees with numerous brownish, green tinted buds and yellow, purple flowers peeking through the grass. I found it extremely beautiful.

By next week the doggy winter coats should - hopefully - be put away, and snowflakes will not be seen. Still, even if that is not the case, the walk will continue as it has done now for several years. Long live the walk!
