"We travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us" (Anonymous)
It is sheer delight to hear about the travel adventures of many in our group: To warmer climes this past winter; an amazing cruise around South America; Portugal has been a popular choice in recent months; incredible hiking in Provence, Art School and expeditions in Spain, more visits to Quebec and returning to a place with fond memories such as cottages in Maine. Many more trips involving family and rendezvous in Canada, the US and Europe in the fall. And let's not forget the adventures coming later this month as many in our group head to Halifax and a race there. We are so fortunate to experience these travel adventures, often with others in our group, and these build on our shared and special memories that we refer back to often.
"Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow" (Anita Desai)
We do learn so much about ourselves and others when we experience travel. A privilege indeed.

Some of you may remember that we've met there before after other races. This Starbucks has outdoor seating as well.
We will still meet as usual on Saturday May 13, at 9 a.m. in the cemetery. And good luck to everyone in the race. It's such a fun race and a great feeling to take over Yonge Street!
