I did my last big training walk on Saturday with the help of a small but mighty group - thanks Michael, Phyllis and Barb. I
am both looking forward to the race - and looking forward to it being over!
It was pitch black coming into the park at
just before 7 - actually a bit spooky until the sun rose. A forceful reminder
that it is fall, even if the weather is still balmy.
As usual, the conversation was varied and
wide ranging. Michael and I reflected on how grateful we were that we could do
what we were doing. And, on that note of
gratitude, I wish all my fellow walkers a very Happy Thanksgiving.
A reminder that there is a lunch after the
race on Oct. 22. Hope a lot of you will join at noon at the Duke of Richmond
(Queen and Bay) - let Sue know if you plan to attend.
