It was not so much that the rain was falling.
It was not so much that my raincoat was
dripping pools of water behind me (bit exaggerated but you get the idea). What was gnawing at me was that I should
have been really upset with the weather conditions. What was gnawing at me was
that the person I was walking with should have been really upset with the
weather conditions. The gnawing led to questions. When did the shift occur
that I had become mildly irritated by cold rainy weather ? Where was the OMG get me out of here sensation?
Now don’t get me wrong I have walked in the
rain before. As a matter of fact another TPW and myself walked beside the waterfront when there was thunder and
lightning.
So why am I mentioning this? Well because in
the other walks the rain occurred when the temperature was warm or very slightly cool. Saturday was
cold. In the morning when I left it was a breath in the air type of cold.
So for all of you walkers out there beware. Your body may be adapting. Beware in
this Halloween season. Beware. Beware.
