It was a treat to be back at the cemetery
on Saturday (that must sound odd if you don’t know us). We had a good crowd on
a mild, dampish morning. Nice to see Maggie back and newbie Nicole. We tramped
through the tail end of the autumn leaves – some of us once around and some
twice plus a bit. I am feeling very much in ‘maintenance’ mode and enjoyed just
talking and walking. As usual our conversations covered a wide range from aging
parents to walking gear. With the loss of our old restaurant we are trying out
new options. This time we tried the Fox and Fiddle – they were very pleasant,
there is lots of room and the food was good. No Earl Gray tea for me but we all
have to make sacrifices in life. We thought we might try the Jester next time
just so that we have a choice.
Remember that some of us are now going out
on Sundays so you have two chances to walk with us – no excuses. If you are
planning to attend the social on the 20th please remember to let Sue
know. Looking forward to seeing everyone then.
