This weekend our group was here, there and everywhere.
Helen reported:
‘Hi Susan
I hope your walk went well
I did the Zoo 10K as a volunteer "view from the back"
Ela's sister Mary was helping at the finish line
I am doing my 32K Monday morning, hoping for good weather and lots of energy’

‘The KW Road Trip
Margie, Diane and Sue drove to Kitchener on Saturday missing
Laurel who was laid up with a bad back. We met up with Linda at the race on
Sunday (having driven from Toronto that morning) and all successfully completed it, hills and all. Highlights were: the Walper hotel (newly renovated and, except for the noise factor, very nice);
dinner at 41 (highly recommended) and the lack of rain (it held off until the
drive home). The drive home was marred by a big hold-up on the 401 but we
managed to laugh our way through it – huge thanks to Margie.’
Is that a halo or a cloud above their heads? |
Ela and Phyllis reported on their completion of 32K on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Phyllis enjoyed walking part of her route east of Harbourfront, near Cherry Beach and then westward on Queen St. East. Walking is a great way to see the city!
This ends the Report from the
Front Lines and may I take the liberty
